We’re the same family-owned team behind AA Garage Door LLC in St. Paul, serving the Twin Cities since 2001. Eagan’s winters are hard on springs, cables and weather seals, and a well-sealed, insulated door helps your home’s comfort: the U.S. Department of Energy notes that insulation reduces heat loss. Our technicians follow the safety practices promoted by the International Door Association, the trade group for professional door dealers and installers.

Our Eagan office is in Grand Oak Business Park, at Highway 55 and Dodd Road (Highway 149), with quick access to I-494 and I-35E. From there our technicians reach every part of Eagan, from Cedar Grove and Viking Lakes to the neighborhoods around Thomas Lake, Blackhawk Park and Caponi Art Park, and the homes bordering Lebanon Hills Regional Park.
From Eagan we also cover Mendota Heights, Inver Grove Heights, Rosemount and Burnsville. Our Apple Valley team serves the rest of Dakota County, and our Woodbury office covers the east metro. See every city on our garage door service areas page.
Eagan grew fastest between 1985 and 1995, and about 65% of its homes were built before 1990, according to the city’s 2040 Comprehensive Plan. Many of those houses still have their original tracks, openers or springs, which are now well past their expected life. If your door is noisy, slow or uneven, an inspection usually shows whether a repair or a replacement makes more sense.
The City of Eagan’s Building Inspections division requires a building permit for replacement doors and plan review whenever a door opening is changed, so widening an opening for a bigger garage door needs city sign-off. A new garage over 200 square feet needs its own building permit. Once the permit is in hand, we handle the garage door installation.
The Twin Cities average a January low near 9°F and about 51 inches of snow a year (National Weather Service 1991–2020 normals for Minneapolis–St. Paul). Deep cold makes torsion springs more likely to snap and stiffens opener lubricant, so a fall tune-up before the first freeze prevents most winter breakdowns.
